Door Prize poll

Post by llnadmin » Fri Aug 14, 2015 6:27 pm

At a recent LAN event, the event administrators were offering door prizes to people who came, as well as prizes for people who won tournaments. One of the major prizes (also a door prize) was a brand new video graphics card for a PC, given to the event by a local computer company.

When the door prizes for the event were drawn at the end of the event, the "winner" of the random draw for the major door prize that was announced, was no longer there. Instead of doing a re-draw, it was decided by the event administrators that the lucky individual would be contacted, so that the prize could be picked up by the winner.

Do you think this is OK? What do you think should happen in this scenario?
